A PREGNANCY DAY RETREAT
Retreating into MotherhoodOur Pregnancy Day Retreat in St Georges Basin on the NSW South Coast is an invitation to slow down, deeply connect with yourself and your baby and prepare for your birth and postpartum.

WHETHER YOU ARE:
- in your 2nd or 3rd trimester
- a first time mum or a mum again
- a seasoned yogi or a novice
You’re in the right place!
I'm going to tell you exactly how Retreating Into Motherhood: Pregnancy Day Retreat will give you the tools, inspiration and unparalleled support as you prepare for your birth and postpartum so you’ll feel prepared and able to rest and recover no matter how your birth unfolds.
Here’s What You Can Expect

Pregnancy Flow Yoga
Pregnancy Flow Yoga is Infused with yoga poses, breathing techniques, visualisation, meditation and guided relaxation with a focus on preparing for birth. You'll learn breathing techniques and Active Birth Positions for a calm birth.

Restorative Yoga and Crystal Bowl Sound Bath
Restorative Yoga is a form of ‘active relaxation’ in which your body is supported by yoga props including yoga bolsters, blocks and blankets in seated and supine poses that are held for between 3 and 15 minutes. You’ll feel held and supported physically, mentally and emotionally allowing you to deeply relax and let go. This relaxed state will be enhanced by the healing vibrational power of an immersive crystal bowl sound bath with Carli Sheriff from The Om Project.

A Shamanic Drum Journey Into Your Womb To Meet Your Baby
“Drumming is an ancient shamanic technique to connect you with your baby, womb, vagina and vulva. So often women feel disconnected from their babies and their own bodies and this process helps work toward healing or dealing with whatever it is that blocks that connection. Shamanic drum journeying is like a self guided meditation into the unseen realms, or into the body, to the beat of the drum, for the purpose of seeking in- formation and spiritual guidance”- Jane Hardwick Collings

Preparing for your Postpartum
Traditional cultures around the world like India, China, Indonesia and South America recognise the physical, mental and emotional changes that a woman undergoes during pregnancy and birth and it’s why the first 30- 40 days after birth is a time where a new mother is encouraged to completely retreat while she’s cared for and nurtured by her community./p>
In our Western culture the emphasis is on birth but birth is like the wedding and postpartum is like the marriage. That is, birth is just an event but motherhood is forever.
During our Pregnancy Retreat I’ll guide you into preparing for your postpartum so that you’ll feel prepared and able to rest and recover so matter how your birth unfolds.

Nourishing Food
Enjoy a delicious homemade, nutrient dense, organic lunch buffet style by the water as you soak up the view. A nourishing morning and afternoon tea will also be served.

Nurturing Conversations
Sitting in Circle with other women on a similar journey to mothering or mothering again, you’ll listen to each other’s stories and feel seen and heard.
